On Sunday afternoon Laois Inter 1's took on Gorey in Loreto Kilkenny. In the opening minutes of the game the Gorey forwards scored after a long defensive battle from the Laois backs.

Goalie Ruth did very well to keep the Gorey shots out of the goals. Strong hitouts from Ellen and Faye resulted in the play being brought up towards the circle.

Multiple shots on goal from our mids and forwards resulted in long corners. Abigail recieved a ball at the top of the circle and with an attempt at goal she found the back board with only minutes to go.

Laois fought hard finishing the game with a 1-1 scoreline.
