Last Sunday afternoon the inter 2 team kicked off their first league match of the season with a home game Vs Bray. Mikalya Lahart captained the side.  Fielding just 10 players from the tip off the home team started a bit nerously and found themselves 1-0 down within the first few minutes.

A blood injury reduced the team to 8 outfield players for a period of time and this resulted in a 2-0 score line.

With all players giving enormous effort the following period of play saw some great saves from goal keeper Sarah Rowe and solid defensive play from Mikalya Lahart, Ciara Nagle and Lexi Nelson.

The home side continued to press with good interceptions from the midfield combination of Zoe Patterson, Sophie Moynan and Lily Gannon leading to several strong attacks and the forward line of Suzi Brain, Amy Lalor and Sophie Cahill tagged on goals to give a scoreline of 3-2 going into the final 8 minutes.

There were several more chances on the Bray goal, however some quick breaks from Bray resulted in two more scores to end the match 4-3 loss to the home side.
