Laois 1s v Pembroke Wanderers (Away) 13th January 2024

Laois 1s got off to a good start against Pembroke Wanderers on Saturday evening with Ruth Maxwell finding the backboard in the 1st quarter.

Both Pembroke and Laois pressed on with some impressive and skillful play by both sides. Pembroke looked threatening at times in the 3rd quarter but Laois kept their cool and made it 2-0 with a lovely goal from Amy Moynan. Pembroke fought valiantly in the final quarter but couldn't get a score.

Laois worked very well together with some lovely passes and great teamwork and added 2 more scores to the board in the final quarter with Amy Lacey and Ruth Wilkinson making the final score 4-0.

Laois 1s face Avoca HC 4s at home in Loreto Kilkenny next Saturday 20th January at 1pm
