Laois HC 2s travelled to Monkstown on Saturday January 27th for their first ever cup match.

Monkstown proved to be a strong opposition with plenty of good passing play between the backs and midfield.

Gloria Lewis scored the first goal in the first quarter. The Laois defence were under a lot of pressure in the second and third quarters and did well to keep Monkstown out. Evana Cassidy got the second goal of the match in the last quarter to finish with a 2-0 victory to Laois and avoid the dreaded shuttles!

Laois meet either Portrane or Skerries in the semi final of the cup on 24/2/24 away. We look forward to a well earned rest next weekend.
