Laois Inters 2 v Tullamore Match report written by the captain on the day Amy Lalor.

On Sunday our Inter 2 team travelled to Tullamore hockey club to play their 3rd league match.

Despite the dreary forecast a determined team of 13 players arrived in Tullamore proudly sporting their new Laois hockey club jerseys, ready for a challenging game against Tullamore hockey club.

The game started with a tough few minutes as players had to adjust to the different pitch .

We had a great defensive line and our great skills prevented Tullamore from scoring . Laois came in to half time with a 1-0 lead

Laois returned after half time with great confidence but a score from Tullamore levelled the score.

Laois recovered from the setback and after some great team work a pass from Ciara Nagle found Amy Lalor who scored her second goal .

Laois hockey utilised all there hockey skills and held out for the remainder of the match to secure their 2-1 win
