Sunday afternoon (18/02/2024) Laois Inter 1s played Suttonians at home

Laois started off strong, scoring within the first five minutes. However, Suttonians quickly retaliated with a goal of their own.

Throughout the first half Laois were awarded many long corners and one short corner. The girls managed to capitalise off of these opportunities and scored four more goals before the end of the first half.

During the second half Laois managed to score three more goals. However, Suttonians never gave up and kept Laois’ defence under pressure through the second half. Laois’ defence stayed strong and managed to hold Suttonians out for the rest of the game.

The final score was 8-1. The goals were scored by; Lily, Aoife, Rachel (3) and Tara-Ann (3).
