Laois 2nd faced Wicklow HC at home on Sunday in Kilkenny. The match started off strong with a swift attack in the first quarter leading two goals from Gloria.
Wicklow were quick in mid field and found ways to break the press leading to a goal. In the second quarter Laois came back strong and an impressive team performance finished skillfully by Shauna left Laois 3-1 up.
The 3rd and 4th quarter was characterised by a series of defensive short corners that Caroline and her amazing back line defended. However, it was short corner no.7 that lead to Wicklow scoring, bringing the score to 3-2.
