*Laois 1s v Trinity 3s (Home) 8th February 2025* 

Laois 1s vs Trinity got off to a busy start this afternoon with Trinity applying pressure on the Laois defence early on. Laois managed to keep them out well until some nice play in the D led to another score from Trinity. Laois did not take this lying down however and fought back, with a number of near misses from Abigail and Emma up front until Emma managed a lovely flick past the keeper and made it 1-1. Laois kept the pressure on into the 2nd quarter and although Trinity did their best to get another goal, the Laois defence and keeper kept them at bay. Laois mids and forwards applied even more pressure and managed to find a 2nd goal before the end of the 1st half, finished off by Abigail Clarke. Laois continued to dominate in the second half, fending off any attacks on their circle and attacking dangerously in the opposing D. A lovely passage of place between the mids and forwards resulted in Laois's 3rd goal, finished nicely by Yvonne Hargroves. Trinity did not drop the heads however and fought back, looking for equalisers and were fortunate to get in on a loose ball with an overlap and found the backboard to make it 3-2. Laois defended well in the final few minutes and finished the game with a 3-2 win.
