Laois 1s played their first cup match away to railway union this Saturday, the game was very exciting and fast paced from the off and it took laois the first quarter to match the intensity. 

Laois went 2-0 down. However a strong response and some super passing from Orla gave captain Emma Brophy 2 chances to level the game

 A strong attack from railway union just before half time left the score 3-2 to railway. The 3rd quarter saw some great movement of the ball especially down the left led by Flo. 

The score remained 3-2 heading into the final quarter and unfortunately as laois pushed for an equaliser railway scored 2 excellent goals to leave the final score 5-2. Laois will now continue on to the shield competition.
