Carlow HC secured a victory over Laois 2nds in an exciting hockey match that kept spectators engaged from start to finish. The match began at a fast pace, with both teams showing strong attacking intent and disciplined defending.

Carlow HC opened the scoring in the 1st quarter  with a powerful strike that was unfortunately deflected into the goals by the Laois defenders. Laois team responded quickly, increasing pressure and earning some penalty corners. Carlow HC were able to find the back board again in the 2nd quarter but the Laois forwards  continued to pressure the Carlow defence but were unfortunately unable to convert and to level the score before halftime.

The second half saw Laois dominate possession, displaying excellent teamwork and quick passing. Their efforts paid off in the 3rd quarter when a flick by Hazel into the D with a fabulous conversion by Zoe. Carlow HC continued to test the defenders Charlotte, Kellie, Pam and Molly with amazing goal keeping on display from Evana! Unfortunately a 3rd goal was conceded to Carlow HC in the 3rd quarter.

Quarter 4 saw a very determined Laois team take to the field. Working the ball with quick passing and Hazel once again finding the D with a pass to Lily who ran around the Carlow defence and slipped one past their goalie. Laois defense and goalkeeper remained solid throughout the 4th quarter defending well. Laois worked hard to try equalize in the final quarter but unfortunately ended the game with a 3–2 loss. The match was played in good spirit, with both teams demonstrating sportsmanship and skill.
